#1 Tip To Sounding Well Traveled

Have you ever been in a situation where someone was referring to a certain city or country and the name sounded familiar but you just couldn’t place it. Was it a country in Asia or Africa? Was it a city in Germany or France? Or maybe you couldn’t even tell if it was a whole country or just a city. How embarrassing.

A lady should be (or at least appear to be) well traveled and one of the tell tale signs of a traveled lady, as dull as it may sound, is knowing geography.

It may seem overwhelming if your knowledge isn’t yet up to parr but I guarantee by knowing the name and location of each country (try learning capitals too!) you will instantly make yourself appear well informed and cultured.

Let’s start by focusing on Europe as it’s an area you may be prone to explore. Europe contains the greatest cultural and historical attractions in the western world so it’s likely to come up in conversation quite often. Cities, museums, politics, food… there is so much to learn about each country and culture. Geography is a perfect starting point.

By knowing geography you are laying a foundation, giving yourself a point of reference.

You’re much more likely to want to learn about a country or care about it’s happenings if you can visualize where it is in the word.

Hover over the map to see the name and capital of each european country and acquaint yourself with each geographical location.

Please note that there may be minor discrepancies. For instance very small countries such as Andorra (between Spain and France) and Vatican City (in Italy) are not visible.

But they are included in the full list of counties and capitals for easy reading.

I urge you to thoroughly learn and memorize this information as it’s essential for a lady to be aware of the world around her.

Once you’ve mastered Europe you can move onto other continents; Asia, Africa, South America…

Just imagine, the next time someone mentions their trip to Moldova, you won’t be the dimwit nodding along wondering which continent they’ve visited.
